日语专业依托公司信息通信技术的优势教学科研力量，建立一个具有信息通信技术特色的日语专业培养模式，以培养专业日语人才与信息通信技术应用相结合的复合型人才为目标，满足社会发展对 高素质创新人才培养的要求。
本专业本科专业修业年限为四年，招收日语零起点的文史类考生。学习日语精读、泛读、口语、视听说、翻译、写作、日本文化及文学、语言学、二外（英、法）、现代电信技术概论、计算机等课程。在攻读日语语言文学专业课的同时，以培养日语语言的实际应用能力为目标，着重提高口译及笔译能力；在学习现代通信等课程的同时，亦培养其计算机操作、程序编制和办公自动化的应用能力。在修完培养计划所规定的全部课程并考试合格后，将被授予文学学士学位。
本专业2009年开始招收日语语言文学方向硕士生，现有硕士生导师3人。硕士修业年限为3年，授予文学硕士学位。
本专业与日本甲南大学、关西大学签订长期合作与交流项目，双方互派学生、互免学费、提供奖学金，并可交换学分。同时还与广岛大学等日本高校展开短期交流和研修活动。
本专业所培养的毕业生具有扎实的日语语言基础及广泛的科学文化知识，能在信息技术、国际合作与文化交流、新闻出版、教育科研等领域从事翻译、教学、管理、研究工作。
Japanese Language Program
Japanese Language Program aims to cultivate Japanese language professionals of high caliber and with interdisciplinary background. We draw on the expertise of Internet technology offered by our university to integrate telecommunications technology into Japanese language teaching and learning.
The four-year undergraduate program was designed for students of liberal arts with no prior knowledge of Japanese. Students are expected to take comprehensive training in practical language and cross-cultural communication skills, esp. those of translating and interpreting. Japanese language classes apart, students are required to take courses in computer science, modern telecommunications and programming. In 2009, the master’s program was launched, offering degrees in Japanese linguistics and literature.
As for exchange programs, we provide students with scholarships and grants to study in Konan University and Kansai University. Meanwhile, we work with Hiroshima University to engage students in short-term exchange activities.
Our program seeks to support students’ effort to master Japanese for translation, teaching and research. And our graduates show a high level of linguistic, administrative, communicative and professional competence in publishing houses, academic institutions, IT industry and organizations that enhance international cooperation and cultural exchange.
